MeetMoment started with the King family. Eleven kids — if they can walk, they skate — and a sport Drexel didn't even know existed two years ago. It started the ordinary way: the kids were just going to the skating rink to have fun. That turned into roller hockey, and roller hockey turned into speed skating. It turned out to be the perfect sport for a big family — everyone goes at the same time, competes together, and has fun together.

Two years later, at their first Outdoor National Championships (ODN), held in 2026 at Brian Piccolo Park in Florida, the results spoke for themselves: one of the King kids brought home 3 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals in the Junior division, and another made the Junior U.S. National Team.

But getting there, brand new to the sport with that many kids racing across different divisions, events, and schedules, keeping track of it all was genuinely hard: whose heat was next, when to be at the track, what their own kids' day actually looked like buried inside a full meet schedule built for everyone.

So Drexel built the tool the family actually needed — something where a parent could see the whole schedule, or just their own athletes' races, without digging. And on the other side of it, something that made running the meet easier for the directors, coaches, and officials making it happen.

That's still what MeetMoment is: built by someone who was living the problem, with help from friends and the team at Inside Edge, and grounded throughout in feedback from Gypsy Lucas. What you're using today is a reflection of that — a lot of real meets, real feedback, and real work by people who care about this sport.
